I start with observation. Watching how people actually behave, not assuming how they would.
Once patterns surface from that, those are the moments that I'm drawn to. The edge cases are where the interesting problems live and where I spend energy on.

Background
I studied design with a concentration in packaging and a marketing minor. It provided me a genuine understanding of physical interaction. Shifting that sensibility to interfaces meant I was already thinking in systems and moments before I touched a screen. Project management came along for the ride too, which helps when shipping under real constraints.
